On July 4, 2025, Venezuela received 213 compatriots deported from the United States in a direct flight from Texas, as part of the Bolivarian government’s humanitarian repatriation initiative, Vuelta a la Patria (Return to the Homeland). This marks the 17th direct flight from the U.S. and the 40th since the program’s relaunch in February.

The U.S.-registered aircraft landed at Maiquetía’s Simón Bolívar International Airport in La Guaira state, where Venezuelan authorities from various sectors, including security and health, greeted the returning migrants. The group consisted of 163 men, 40 women, and 10 children and adolescents, according to the Ministry of Interior, Justice, and Peace.

Security forces from the Scientific, Penal, and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (SEBIN), the Bolivarian National Guard, and the National Police were actively involved in the reception process, ensuring a safe and dignified return.

The Bolivarian government recently denounced the ongoing detention and separation of Venezuelan minors in the United States. Eighteen children, aged between one and nine years old, remain held hostage, separated from their parents and family members, a stark reminder of the human toll of imperialist immigration policies.

This is currently the 40th flight, with a total of more than 7,000 compatriots repatriated who have returned to Venezuela thanks to the actions carried out by the Bolivarian Government through the Great Mission Return to the Homeland, a program that guarantees the safe and dignified arrival of thousands of Venezuelans to the nation.

Since January 2025, a total of 7,447 Venezuelans have returned home on 40 flights from Mexico, Honduras, and the United States. Monthly arrivals peaked in May with 2,107 migrants, followed by 1,674 in June and 417 in early July.

The Vuelta a la Patria program, elevated to a Grand Mission by President Nicolás Maduro in 2018, has provided free repatriation to over 1.3 million Venezuelans worldwide. The initiative encompasses air, sea, and land routes, reflecting the government’s commitment to reversing the effects of the foreign-imposed economic blockade and supporting Venezuelan families.

This program exemplifies the Bolivarian government’s dedication to protecting its citizens from the harsh realities of displacement caused by imperialist aggression and economic warfare. By facilitating the dignified return of Venezuelan migrants, the government reaffirms its role as a defender of national sovereignty and social justice.
